Keep posting if you decide to install this set for performance improvements, I'm waiting for a beta driver that actually improves stability and reduces bugs rather than extra fps.

I`m sticking to 169.25 . It seems to me that there won`t be any other drivers that can squeeze evn more performance out of the 7950GTX(or any GPU for that matter).

Just be patient ;) I'm sure they'll get up and running soon! And if they don't have the new driver, just take the inf from 169.25 and change the date and driver ver. Everything else should be the same

Any improvement over 169.09? I'm having a blast with this version and it keeps me from overclocking it, which is good since I wouldn't wanna shorten my laptop's lifespan.

I only change my drivers when newer, better drivers are confirmed.

I'm waiting for LV2GO to go online!

EDIT: They're online now, but they don't have the new driver. I've modded the inf from 169.25, and changed date and driver ver. according to the new driver.

    Here it is:

well, some games are done optimizing that already run fast enough.

but with every driver incarnation, new games, especially crysis and ut3 based games have seen performance improvements.

I guess some files are missing again

Just curious is there any better performance from 169.25 from 169.12? I know it depends but, I have 169.12 right now and want to know if its even worth it.

From my experience, going from .04 to .12 and then .25 and now finally .28 led me to believe that the .25 are the best so far.

Do yo u have the ddr3 for c90? Then you have eto stick with stock drivers because the newer dfrivers give a huge hit in perfomance.

I just played team fortress 2 with this driver, i get a nice fps increase :)
BUT i also noticed that you sometimes get a fps drop...

Like someone on the laptopvideo2go said: It would be a great driver if it was more stable ;)

But yeah, I'll just stick with this one :)

Ok, just installed them. Don't see any difference in benchs or in-game performance, though it seems a little smoother. Might just be some game compatability fixes

standard settings the 2nd number (400) is lower , ie 475/400

but youve changed it to 580/836 ,making the 2nd (the 836) number a lot higher

is that safe to do ? and what does this do ?
im new to overclocking and just trying to figure out whats safe and good to do etc etc and learning about the settings

the new driver seems to keep the GPU cooler than usual. I ran 3d Mark and crysis. not much performance increase but somehow both applications were at least 3-4 C cooler than normal. Do i imagine that or is this for real. Try it out and let us know. By the way driver now works on Xp as well..
    Cheers

if you read, his is a DDR3 card. meaning his memory clock would be at a default of 700, and not 400... do not overclock your ddr2 card that high or it will just.. fail.. lol

Well, you download the driver, then download the modded inf (the link for load is next to the driver dl link), extract the driver, replace the inf file with the modded one, then pretty much follow the instructions provided on the site . . .

Oh, and try to uninstall old drivers b4 installing new ones . . .

Hope this was of some help . . . :D

It should say your version and other info there

I couldn't get nTune to work, I may be doing it wrong.

I had the latest edition off of the nVidia website though.

Are there any special steps to OC'ing with nTune besides just going to the overclocking tab and setting the new clock speeds?
