Is AWESOME. My 3dmark dropped by 50 points from .31, but it works far better in games, especially Assassin`s Creed .
And a very special notice : NO MORE SCREEN TEAR! no flickering, nothing. The image looks better than ever, sharp and well rounded.
There is a downside though, No OCing as of yet...
-
overclocked my 9500m GS too and get lesser 3dmark points.who cares, as long as gaming pleasure is garanteed!
-
Exactly. Might be just me than in terms of OCing, but wow, this driver is freakin` awesome, good performance all around, and better average fps.
-
Are these drivers certified? And where can you download them from?
-
There`s not certified yet, but trust me, they`re probably the best in the 174.x series.
Here : http://www.laptopvideo2go.com/forum/index.php?showforum=89
What drew me towards them was that they got CLEVO in the title. So they`re mainly for clevo based systems. -

Hi.
what about the 174.85?
Oops, NOT READY YET
Regards
John.
-
174.85 are only for Vista ATM. I`m sticking to these since they`re Clevos
-

what is a "Clevos"
Thanks
John.
-
Uhm , meaning they`re for Clevo based systems.
They make top tier laptops and the best performers in the world.

I've been getting such good performance (Low temps + high overclock) with the 174.16 I've been really hesitant to switch, I might give these a go since I have noticed a fair bit of vertical tearing in my games.

Hi.
same 3dmark06demo score as the 174.74 driver for me!
Regards
John. -
-
8600M GT DDR2. I idle at ~ 45-47 C and so far my peak temp is 67 C, and that's all at 600/500 (stock 475 / 400). This is all on stock cooling too.
-
no difference with 174.74 for me
-
My 3DMark06 score went up by 100+ with this driver. But there seems to be the downclocking issue.... After like half an hour of crysis, FPS drops to half of the original.... Should I revert back to the official Sager driver 167.44 (I think) ?
-
Can`t help you there Prasad , all I can do is recommend getting the latest BIOS and maybe try 174.31 .
-
Hmm... Don't feel like switching from my 174.31 drivers that I got from Dell.
-
Please read PM.
-
I tried these drivers but found they didn't work that great with AC so went back to 174.74, talk about a difference in frame rates and smoothness
-
That`s odd, AC is smoother for me, the textures look better and the images are more solid.
The screen tear has gone(well except Half Life 1, but that`s ancient history), and most importantly, no flicker or lines on the screen during gaming or video playback! -
That is weird cause we have the same vid cards cept mine is sli. Well whatever makes the game run good. Graphics are pretty sweet
-
Indeed it is. I`m gonna try UT3 maybe later on and Crysis and see how that turns out.
174.82 video driver
