SLI Mode Issues -
well it is available for x32 did you see it correctly?
-
I believe this is the Nvidia 3DMark Vantage optimization driver, among other things. AMD should have theirs out soon, as well.
Let the benchmark optimization wars begin. -
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Yeah I already installed it and it runs flawlessly on vista 32 bit.
-
Forerunner, where did you get the driver and inf? LV2G forums don't have the download active yet.
-
The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Modded it myself.

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Ill post it up. Hold on a sec. I can tell you how also.
Edit: Here you go, sorry took so long had to redownload the driver from nvidia to get the inf.

I think for the single test I get, I'll run using the 174.74 driver so we can see what performance would be like without the Vantage optimized 175.12.

The Forerunner Notebook Virtuoso
Yours is ddr3 though but I guess we can factor it in.
-
Well I ran the test. It finished the 3rd test (1st CPU test) and crashed with a buffer resize error. I tried running it a couple of times to no avail. I may need to update the driver to 175.12 to get it to work and I may not be able to post results till tomorrow (its 2 am here and I've got a final at 9).
Thanks for the inf, I've downloaded it and I'll see if I can't get that driver installed.
EDIT: Got it working with 174.74 (pre optimization drivers) by attaching an external monitor. Test was run at 1280x1024.
Overall: P1014
CPU: 3950
GPU: 812
After the test I got a large error stating that "inaccurate benchmark results were detected", so take these results with a grain of salt. -
I've just installed, tried a few games, then uninstalled these drivers. Powermizer seems to be underclocking my card after a few mins of play as the frame rate starts wonderfully high then drops drastically. Checked GPU speeds and yep, running on 2D clock settings at this point. I'm not really that surprised as I have the exact same problem with all of the 174 series drivers past 174.16. Looks like it may be a fault somewhere with my system, possibly windows but I'm not prepared to go reinstalling windows again just to see. I'll just live with the fact that I have a good working notebook with 174.16 drivers.
For everyone else, give it a go, the performance increase was exceptional before Powermizer kicked in. -
Installed it today. Will post benchmarks tomorrow. So far my aero performance is 5.9 and graphics is 5.5 on my T61P.
-
4153 on 3dMark06 with T61P and 175.12 driver
-
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
running vantage just one time is pointless. no one runs 3dmark06 once. you have to run it at least twice just to get a valid score on the second run.
-
Thanks for the tip. I'll try that
-
Ran two more times consecutively and got 4148 twice.
