I thought we were at 175.60 already. Is 175.16 newer?

    Edit: Oh right. WHQL.

Running it right now. Installed them last week. Good colors and setting options. Works very well with FX 570m in T61p. Scored a little over 6000 with it on 3DMark06.

Just a little lower score than my PR using the 174.31 drivers.

I installed the non WHQL version last week. I don't think I have to reinstall it.

Will the WHQL version allow Rivatuner core adjustments?

so how am I supposed to install using inf for toshiba x205sli1? It's been awhile since I upgraded my drivers. I am now using 174.31 and the only way I know how is to upgrade is to download driver to desktop in newly created folder, extract driver in that folder, then download the modded inf that's located to the right of said driver on laptopvideo2go page, to same folder that I just extracted driver in. Then do the have disk method. Is it necessary to download the modded inf to the folder that has the driver or can I just use the have disk method with just the downloaded driver itself in that folder? Please help I don't want to lose whql.

Completely remove all traces of NVIDIA gpu drivers. Driver Sweeper followed by CCCleaner worked for me.

Then go to NVIDIA's WEB site and down load.

can anyone point me in the right direction (possibly with a link) to the "best" driver for an 8700m GT? im using 174.74 right now and during R6V2 the driver will stop responding which will cause my game to go haywire until it recovers.

any suggestions on what driver i should use next? thx

Is it true that all the 17X.XX series drivers in XP, the PowerMizer function is not working properly with the Modded INF?

Right now I'm using 169.28 and it seems ok.

I have PowerMizer in all of the 17X drivers I have used, for XP. No "Smartdimmer" tho.

i think the 175 series is screwing with my computer. the moment i unplug my battery, my computer becomes SLOW AS S**T... movies and video games stutter like lag. Movies are unwatchable, games unplayable. I have to plug in and everything works. I may go all the way back to 169.12.... or maybe try 174 to see if its the 175 series or the whole 17x series

No, thats normal its just downclocking your gpu to save energy. I think its more your powerplan if anything. Its probably switching to power-saving mode. Switch your powerplan back to normal and unplugging. Or you can manually clock your gpu back to stock.
