I am having a problem understanding something. The 18x.xx drivers boast that they have major performance increases in new games over the 17x.xx series so it would be logical to get the 18x.xx for the latest optimizations and bug fixes. Although when I look at it these 179.48 drivers are just as new as most of the 18x.xx series so do these mobile drivers have the optimizations for the newer games that 18x.xx drivers have or not? I remember when the 18x.xx family first came out they had a huge announcement about the great performance increase over the 17x.xx family, but considering the build dates I don't know what to make of whats going on!

I am using DOX 182.05 right now and they are just days apart from the 179.48 build date.

I liked 179 by Nvidia as it kept my temperature to 53 idle and 68 max while gaming in M1730 with 88m sli. i tried all 180xx but it kept system real hot like around 71-75 idle.

Exo, I just ran some Crysis Warhead benchmarks in your GS-->GTS thread. The DOX drivers are coming out on top.

i have just stopped using the DOX drivers, they don't like Empire Total War. Had an increase of 500 when using 3dmark06 though. Not much use if you cant run the game though.

I am using Nvidia's 179.48 drivers, and it's cooled the temperature down a few degrees, but no increase or decrease of FPS or gaming experience. I was using 182.50, but I don't see any difference in XP Pro on my Aluminum Macbook.
