Yeah but nVidia didn't give seal of approval to use their desktop drivers for notebook GPU's... Or did they??? i guess i don't know, really. But i never heard of nVidia giving a seal of approval to use their desktop drivers for notebooks.

Yes, they don't, but I know that there's nothing stupid/malicious/cute added in it since I am the one doing it.

    Not someone on the Internet.

But to each their own, so, whatever suits you I guess! I do it myself, others prefer someone else to do it for them, nothing wrong, just comes down to what you like.

Well, you could've gone to LV2Go, seen that the driver package is WHQL, then gone back to Nvidia and downloaded/installed from there.
But that's neither here nor there - fact of the matter is, there are options for drivers out there.

(afaik, all LV2Go does is repackage the driver into a 7-Zip executable to shrink the size, and provide a separate modded INF)

Yeah, I'm not saying that they're bad guys, or they do a bad job, I'm just saying that I don't prefer them.

    K. maybe it's just me, but I'll write it down anyways.

I search to here because I was having the same issue with the control panel. and the physix etc...

I did find a way around it though. right click. properties, settings, advanced, 'card tab', 'start the nvidia control panel'.

    worked for me
