I went to canirunit.com to see if I could run some new games, and it says I have 1gb on my 8600mGT. I've never seen this before, it's always said 512mb. I haven't upgraded my ram or anything, just my drivers to 171.23. Anyone know what's wrong (I am not complaining lol, 1gb is awesome but I just would hate for it to be inaccurate).

P.S.: I've tried different games to make sure it wasn't just 1 page that says I have 1gb.

Why hasn't it displayed 1gb before, and is there a way to verify, and maybe turn off shared memory? I thought it was Vista only? Blue pill or the red one? SO MANY QUESTIONS!!!!

TurboCache.. Don't worry, it's not used until required, and it rarely will be, considering the games the 8600 can handle...

1GB. Thats nothing, here's what mine shows.

You really don't see any perfromance increase with "Turbo Cache" enabled as it only "borrows" system memory IF it isn't required by anything else.

Ditto for my card, Dxdiag report says I have 1774MB graphics memory even though the memory which really counts is the dedicated 256 DDR2.

As it says. This is really all that counts.
