? Dead Nvidia 8600M GT GPU VBIOS Flash Needed?
This one is more DIY which actually makes it more interesting but this one really has more info and is more in depth:
? Programming a MXM graphics module bios (by performing a hard flash).
Though mainly its because the guy has an eeprom programmer.

I don't know if this is of much interest here but personally I have a lot of use for this information. It has confirmed the basics of there being only 1 eeprom and the possibility of a card functioning when the eeprom has been replaced and flashed manually. Also it confirmed some eeprom model numbers I was wondering about.

The main reason I'm getting into this stuff: Its come to my attention that a number of "locked" MXM cards are not built on proprietary boards or anything complex like that, they simply do not have an eeprom. I didnt mean to make this thread too specific to my personal interests, but basically there are a few things I'm going to try soon by soldering eeproms. One would give us a cheap endless supply of 8700m GT MXM cards, the other would give us well priced and otherwise nonexistant MXM 2.1 II gt 130m cards and eventually mxm 2.1 II gt 240m cards.
I think it would be pretty awesome if a few people who can solder did this and ran these cards, don't you?
