What do ya know!? It WORKS! Thanks +1. Guess I'm getting Civ 5 now.

Wonder if Steam will counter with a sale of their own?

One question with Direct2Drive though, if you uninstall the game do you regain an activation? I've only bought a couple games from them, and so far haven't installed more than a couple times, but a game like Civ 5 I'll probably be playing in five or six years from now like with Civ 4, installed on both my laptop and desktop, and probably multiple times because of reformats, computer upgrades, etc.

    Civ5 is a steamworks game.

    Activate it on Steam

EDIT: You can also get Fallout 3, which will be Steamworks

    Ah yeah, good point. D'oh!

I'm considering Transformers game too since it hasn't gone on sale at all, and 20% off everything is a great deal.

Heard bad things about Transformers, and the game's online is most likely dead.

I dunno, I asked about it here earlier and most people said the single player campaign was great especially for the fans of the original generation like me. I did hear the MP was borked though. I might give it a go and if I don't like it sounds like you can at least get your money's worth from the SP campaign.

Is it still $49.95?? You have to spend that much to get the discount...

As long as your cart has $49.95 or more in it, it will take 20% off your cart. So it's ~$40.
