Dying light is a title I am a little apprehensive about.
It looks good and ambitious but will they be able to deliver.
As for cyberpunk we may find out at e3 this year.
As well as they hunted in the past or even said it's going to be out on the tail end of this console generation.

I was hyped for Anthem, huge disappointment.
I was cautiously optimistic about DMC5, but I've seen a lot of positivity around it. I ended up selling a code I had for Divsion 2 and bought DMC5, so I'll binge that soon!
Death Stranding, Cyberpunk. Last of Us 2. Hopefully some great stuff this year!hmscott likes this. -
Starlight5 Yes, I'm a cat. What else is there to say, really?
Came here to say I'm burned out and not waiting for anything, but then I saw Outer Worlds... I just hope it will run on current-gen iGPU at least at 720p@30. \=

Nuff' said , yep. That's coming to PC, and it's coming to Steam !
It's been 10 years, I had this masterpiece Halo CE playing in Internet cafe's due to my computer habits PCwas taken away from me, but the game which sparked a fire that was burning till now and looking back at where I'm It's been a fantastic journey and this is really a dream come true. And I can begin playing the one of the most legendary games ever created. AND Halo Reach is coming to the collection as well. Woah !! I just cannot simply contain myself
Also on the other side, M$ dropped another bombshell, a huge surprise on Win7 in a good way.
GGWP Micro$haft (Microsoft ?)
It took 12 Years,
let the celebrations begin ? Hoping there are no strings, Just hoping there are no shenanigans , Please no, like release it after Win7 is EOLed or only UWP with Steam or such bs. It'll be heart piercing.
Edit : Phase rollout, not all coming at one time. First coming is Halo Reach, then Halo CE, 2, 3, 3 ODST and 4.
Edit 2 : Steam page says, game "requires third party Xbox Live account", really hoping it's not going to use that stupid Xbox packages which Win10 saw a few days back. So 100% sure that MP is that XBL type again, damn M$ they will never change..to note the developers are not Bungie at all (Expected, just pointing out), but there is one studio which brought Arkham Origins, Splash damage studios.Last edited: Mar 12, 2019cj_miranda23 likes this. -

This is just getting silly. Outer Worlds does look awesome and no I will not wait an extra year to play nor I will buy it from epic.
This has got to blow up at some point. Surely epic can't keep getting away with this. People should just stop being like sheep and avoid buying from there.hmscott likes this. -
So now any game that releases with epic game exclusivity becomes a wait till 50% or more sale on steam if it comes over.

All it takes is enough people to not buy these exclusives on Epic and we can shutdown this new move for Epic Exclusive Store content.
Discussion here too:

You end up buying it?
my only complaint so far is that I haven't had enough time to play it as much as i want lol -

2 out of 3 of the games I was looking forward to were Metro and Outer Worlds. The 3rd is also a THQ game, Biomutant.
1: I'm going to quit PC gaming if this exclusivity crap doesn't stop. Why bother getting another laptop for next-gen? I might as well get just a console and keep my current laptop to stream the console to. As for Outer World, I will be picking it up at Gamestop's PS4 used games section. Obsidian doesn't deserve my money and at this point, Gabe doesn't either because he isn't protecting his business, so the whole Steam library might be on borrowed time, because...
2: Steam is going to go out of business if they don't prohibit exclusivity as a condition for the product being advertised at all.

Most console exclusive devs are owned in part or have long standing contracts with the hardware owners, so that's a bit of a false equivalence as epic does not own the developers.
IMO while advocating for epic exclusivity your advocating that everyone instead of being able to get their favorite burger from their favorite joint we should all shuffle into the local crackhole establishment and eat our burgers while people riffle through our bags and take money from our wallets.

Epic does not support my local currency so I have to use USD. I have the gold edition on steam so using that price of 74.99 USD I'll do my math.
74.99 USD is 97.06 CAD at the time of checking this with my local large bank (RBC) with a rate of 1.29430. so already there I'm loosing a dollar out of that savings.
Then we add sales tax @ 13% so 97.06 x 1.13 to get the total tax original price included, we get 109.67 repeating so 109.68 by their math.
That's 3 dollars more than I paid for my copy on steam 106 after tax.
NOW THE REAL FUN BEGINS my credit carrier has a currency conversion fee of 2% so we are gonna take that 109.68 x 1.02 to get a total of 111.87 for a grand total of -5.87 dollars in savings.
Now with that -5.87 dollars in savings I get
Gonna do the new math here while saving my mistakes.
Steam charges me 96.66
Epic charges me 97.06
My credit card charges me 2% for buying in a foreign currency so that epic charges me 99 dollars at the end.
so I don't save all that much money if at all But for that 4-5 dollars less I get the listed features.
Steam achievements
Community forums
Family sharing
User reviews
Steam link
Linux conversion support
Third party key redemption
Built in mod support (if the devs allow)
That weird feature that lets my friends see my game as I play
A comprehensive list of what the game supports via steam store
And that's a list of features I use or have used on a semi regular basis, that epic does not have nor support.
Now if you want to buy of epic I am not going to stop you nor am I going to berate you for it. It's your money do with it as you will.
But at the end of the day I am not going to sit back quietly while my choices are taken from my and I am abused by people who see me as little more than cattle to be slaughtered for cash when the time comes.
Hope that clarifies my position a tad, have a fantastic day.
Edit: I double checked and realized that Epic and steam don't charge tax in my region.
Edit2: VM: Bloodlines 2 is gonna be about 10-14 dollars cheaper for me to buy it on steam it looks like.Excited for it.

Epic is a bad company, that is using unscrupulous means to take our money by holding what we desire hostage.
It's as simple as that. We don't negotiate with hostage takers.
Validating hostage takers method of extorting money from us encourages the hostage takers to keep taking hostages.
To put it kindly, trying to justify saving money while negotiating with hostage takers is the height of lunacy. The only answer is "No!", not "how much?".
The fact that Epic is building a stable of hostages doesn't make them more attractive, it makes Epic a business of hostage taking. Doing it once is bad, making a business out of it should be recognized as criminal - society needs to react to stop that kind of behavior.
That's why we say "No!" to hostage takers. We don't help or fund them by falling victim to their way of doing business. Giving in to Epic would validate their actions, making their business a way of life for us all. Do we want to live that life? Do we want to fund the criminals trying to foist that way of life on us all?
We say "No!" to Epic, not "How much?" -
The problem is we are not trying to negotiate with epic but the devs and publishers.
We have to ask them what's more sustainable going with epic only for a 12% cut out of the 80$ game and having everyone else waiting for the game to go on sale for 40$ and that store taking 30% on top of that half you lost ?
Or dumping it on as many stores as possible and having your cake and eat it too?
Because as is epic is unfeasible for a lot of people that live outside the big currency areas and have depressed currencies as I posted.
And that's not taking into account the sketchy Ness as because while that can be argued away hard math can't.
Anyways I feel we are digressing too far away from the topic of the thread.
Today I am collecting my seikiro CE for PC and as an added bonus I found a collection of all the mercenaries saga games for the GBA I believe repacked for the switch. While not a 2018 title I do believe my annoyance of the GameStop reps about when it is going to be in should qualify it for most anticipated.

Also paradox usually follows their audience closely and have made a few jokes on epic exclusivity so we are safe.
I got to play a bit of the TTRPG but not the video game.
I am excited about this.

Bloodlines 2 does seem one to follow, given the writing team. Hopefully the developers have enough resources to do it justice.
-
Buuuuuuuuuuuuut their portfolio is mostly 4x strategy and sim games.
I think Daniel mortgaurd (former lead on stellaris, I probably spelled his name wrong) has a solid grip on managing things.

Somewhere I read the developers saying they were going to be (more) politically correct in the new Bloodlines game; to my mind that doesn't bode well. Other than that I'm hopeful and watching developments on it closely as I liked the first one; I recall laughing out loud at times when reading the Malk dialogue in Bloodlines 1.
-
But I have historically liked the series so I keep my 10ft pole on hand to poke it if they don't go overboard.

Cant argue with that. In the first game the lore was there but it served mostly to fill out the backstory; it didn't really enter in to the gameplay. In this case it sounds like they're trying to pull it into the gameplay itself. I don't like that. I play games to have fun and unwind, not to have social justice agendas thrown in my face. I'm definitely out my conversation choices are all politically correct BS. Nightmare scenario right there.
