2048MB SLI 9800 GTXs

I ordered it with my 9262.
Anyone else running two of these beast?
I ordered the QUAD Q9650 3.0GHz also.

What current games take advantage of SLI??

 

most current games (some requiring updates/patches) and upcoming games should support SLI.

that thing is a beast.... no doubt.

ARGHHHHH...I dont know if i would ever go to school again with a lappy like that. Hope you enjoy your brolick system lol. Please post how you run CCC lvl6 here on the forum with some screenies. Its supposed to run smoother than very high.

 

All games take advantage of SLI right now, and just for your Information, VRAM doesnt stack with SLI

 

what is ccc & lvl6?

and in your sig..what resolution is that..1440x900?

 

Johnksss...CCC is a optimization mod for crysis that makes the game look IMO alot better thank vanilla (regular) crysis. LVL6 is the best or the "ultra high" config option in the game.

The 30 fps in Crysis is at 1440 900 CCC lvl 3 (medium-highish)
But now with my new overclock setting i got lvl4CCC (high-very high) to run at a very playable 23-25 fps-ish at 1440 900.

I just wanted to see some screenies and some benchmark shots on how it runs on that monster system...if you have crysis and the lappy at the moment...i would recommend on downloading CCC 2.21 and installing LVL6 Very Sharp Shadows
and Doomlord AI mod, it would give crysis MEGA repay value lol.

PLEASE TRY CCC 2.21 youll love it and itll play silky smooth.

Yeah I dont like crysis custom configs. One of them screwed up my benchmarking tool

and I m too lazy to reinstall everything

 

hmm CCC 2.21...install it on the original Crysis. Not in Warhead. If that doesnt work then try installing the 1.31 ver of the CCC mod. There the same thing without the AI mods and the shadow mod. Its still looks AWESOME.

Crysis CFG files are great especially CCC 2.21.

i really think that your laptop should do lvl6 just fine and the game shouldnt look worse. Make sure your installing it to the right crysis directory.

If you get it working itll be worth it the game looks great.

 

give me the run down as far as what options to use. a little list would be nice.

kk so did it work. I just ran i on the settings i told you. But i put lvl6 and i got lol 10fps at native so you should get like 40fps, it looked spectacular.

I got the screenies so now ill i want is to see how it runs for you. i should look good on 1200p on that screen

 

ill get back to it after i finish this last far cry 2 benchmark run.

Hmm sounds good...considering lvl 5 looks better than very high. Do you think the FPS loss is worth it.

im trying out Mster 3.01 config the quality one for more wallpapers then ima try the perf one for the actual game. ill brb with my thoughts on the mod.

LOL in the mster cfg or in the CCC one. The ccc runs better for me but the Mster looks good. I use mster for wallpapers

 

lol it is a beast 2gig vid memory wow

 

once again, Vram doesnt stack with SLI. even 1gb is crippled with the 256bit interface.

 

you sure that isn't changing as the resolutions go up above 1680x1050?
edit: not the stacking part, but using more of the 1gig memory

 

the 1 gig of Vram can be used if the textures are quite insane at very high resolution, like i think that Crysis warhead have used over a gig of Vram for textures for resolutions over 1900x1200

well johnkss good luck finding that custom cfg. Mster Perf CFG should be perfect for ya. Guess sli mobile gpu arent as powerful as i though.
