U can look at my Sig to see my computer specs and I was just wondering. I just ordered a 24" asus led 1080p monitor and was wondering if i will be able to run all my games at the same settings as I do when I just use my laptop monitor. I would assume j could because they r both 1080p so it shouldnt be a difference. But I figured I'd ask just to be sure.

Oh and I was also wondering if it'll matter if I use a vga or svu or hdmi cable. Is any one better then the other when it comes to gaming?

what is the resolution of your current monitor?

when it comes to running games on a monitor, the resolution is the only factor, not size. So games running on 15'' 1080p resolution will run the same on 30'' 1080p resolution.

And yes, your laptop should be able to run pretty much anything on your new monitor pretty easily.

That's what I was thinking. Just wanted to get confirmation. How about the picture quality of the three types of cords though. I am at odds with wanting to by a hdmi it its not really going to matter over a vga that I already own. Granted its only like $25 but free is free. Lol

the cable itself is not going to make any discernable difference. it is possible that the outputs are handled differently by default in the CCC or by your monitor, but you should be able to adjust these settings. One important suggestion is to turn overscan to 0% in the CCC (both HDMI and VGA).

    HDMI CABLE 6FT | eBay

you could probably find something even cheaper.

vga is analog so may lose some color.

DVI, HDMI, display port all digital so essentially the same.
