Im running vista right now on my sig setup and it got 2500 @ 3dmark03 with 1280x800 Is that right? People with the same card get 1500 in 3dmark 06 so is 2500 a rubbish score?

    1) If you are comparing to others, use the same resolution. I believe 1024x768 is the standard.
    2) Also, why not get 3DMark 06? The download size?
    3) Newer 3DMark versions use lower numbers for the same level of performance so 3557 in '03 could correspond to 1300 in '06 (rough guess)

I believe you should be getting around 3700 in 3dmark03 with XP.

Its just i rememberd people posting scores in the 30,000 range , i think that was more like 3d mark 01 and 02 though.
So what do you guys suggest for improving me score , i dont want to overclock 24/7 and also

Under device manager my driver says "8.261.0.0" is that the most recent version , how do i tell if there is a newer version for the x1400

You can setup profiles to easily switch to OCed settings when you want to. As for the driver, just go to www.NVidia.com and get the newest driver, I forgot how to check the version of the current driver (the driver version in device manager and dxdiag etc. are different numbers), so I just remember the last driver number I downloaded.

Ok guys , ive been testing stuff out ect for the last few hours , ive manadged to overclock the system and download and updated the newer drives , i did try out the ngo ones but they performance dropped a little so i went back to ati standard ones , Ive manadges to boost my score up to 4,700 id say thats a good turnaround , Im not sure what the correct GPU temps are but my system now idles at 109 celcius (Pretty good eh)

kidding!!!! its around 37 celcius idleing and after playing game for about an hour it can reach up to 58 celcius

(PS) the temp is that low because i heavily underclock when 3d apps arnt open and overclock slightly when they are (Heavily underclock = in 150mhz range , It runs fine though and ati powerplay will normally go all the way down to 115mhz so obviosuly 150mhz is completly safe!!!) Is it possible to undervlot a GPU aswell??? i havnt gone into undervolting or underclocking my cpu yet as it seems that the temps are already low enough and i get way enough battery and i dont want to loose performance on my cpu , undervolting may be promising but i look under cpu-z and it shows that the voltage keeps changing so im guessing its a power-effieient cpu (I may be completly wrong)
