    thanks in advance :)

That will play those games fine. They aren't very graphically demanding.

Its good. But the X700 is much better and doesnt cost much more. Try to get an X700 with 256mb if possible.

How many notebooks use the 256 MB version of the x700? I only know of a couple Sager/Clevo models.
I would imagine a 256 MB version of the x600 is even more rare...that probably costs the vendor more than the 128 MB x700.

256MB X700 is very rare, I only know of two notebooks that have it - my Sager 5320 and one other Clevo. I think there may be another, but I'm not quite sure what it is.

Anyways, the X600 is getting to be outdated. The 256MB of video memory doesn't help it. The X600 isn't powerful enough to take advantage of even 128MB.

In newer games, the X600 will definitely fall behind.

I'd really look for an X700 if you can, even though the X600 can manage the games you posted just fine.

    Lg's LG-LW65-R4ZA has the MRX700 with 256mb memory dedicated.....along with 1gb 533mhz DDR ram, P-M 760(2Ghz) processor..100gb 5400rpm HDD...quite a nice laptop.

    heavily considering buying one

Yes, Darkforce you are right - the X600 and the X300 have the same core engine, the difference is just higher clocks. ;)

When you upgrade a notebook vid card, from a 128MB to a 256MB, does size come into play or they pretty much stay compact.

My MPC X3100 (Micron) uses the X700 256mb. I have had no problems running what ever I wanted to thus far.

Well, you can't upgrade 99% of notebooks. . . do you mean when you buy it? The size of the card doesn't change IF it's the same card.
