I'm wondering if I should use the stock Dell drivers for this GPU in my Studio 17 or if I should install another driver. Thanks guys.

Well ATI's drivers to me seem to be crap - this is not my first ATI-equipped laptop, and the drivers seem to cause crashes on a regular basis. Any good drivers out there?

Just go to the Updating Video Drivers thread and follow the instructions for installing the latest Catalyst for Vista.

Yup - basically go to driverheaven.net and get mobilitymodder.
Then go to their "network" link, select dldownloads or whatever, and get the latest catalyst, or grab it straight from ATI. Use MobilityModder to mod the drivers for MobilityRadeon, install, and GO.

8.8 runs fine on my machine - no crashes.

Now if I could only say the same for IE 8 Beta 2
