    EDIT

Based on member findings these are not WHQL, but a mix between WHQL drivers and BETA. It is listed as "WHQL CANDIDATE"

Netflix will not run under W8 with non WHQL drivers

Derpfield 3 still crashes and has under-utilization in Aftermath

Yes. Looking forward to see if Civilization V gets the performance bump as indicated by the benchmark.

Yes, but where does it say this? Looked everywhere on the Geforce homepage...It only says "these WHQL-candidate drivers improve performance by up to 37% in the year's most popular games" :(

EDIT: I'm disappointed as these still are only Beta drivers...

The driver IS A BETA. Just so everyone is clear on that.

    BF3
    1st launch -crash (black screen)
2nd launch -crash 1 min in game (crash to desktop)
    3rd launch -crash (black screen)

Just Cause 2 gives me 5 more FPS will everything maxed @1080
Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Revelations give me +2 FPS overall.
    Sniper Elite V2 fell -5 FPS :(

    Rolling back -.-

I'll install it and run the Netflix app under Windows 8. It doesn't allow non-WHQL display drivers when streaming video.

OP will be updated to indicate that driver is Semi-WHQL based on member findings

I have had 0 crashes with this driver so far. Upgraded from 306.97. Been playing skyrim very stable. FPS seems to bounce around slightly less. GW2 FPS also seems to fluctuate slightly less as well. my idle clocks are at 135. I do remember some people complaining they were idling in the 400s.

Netflix works fine for me using w8 with these drivers. Both the program and the website work. I have an optimis setup so maybe that is the difference? Regardless I do not think this issue applies to all systems

Yep, Just tried it with a Geforce GTX 660 Ti. 310.64 gives you this:

Not quite WHQL, but apparently good enough for Netflix App.

After a clean installation of Windows 7 I installed these, my 3DMark 11 score went from ~6000-6100 to ~5600-5700. I then uninstalled and did a clean install of the 306.97 WHQL and got the same result: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680M video card benchmark result - Intel Core i7-3720QM Processor,CLEVO P15xEMx score: P5685 3DMarks

I am somewhat puzzled now. I have to do a massive overclock to get my scores back to what they were at stock prior to my reinstallation of Windows. The only difference now is that I am using RAM at 1066MHz because my system stopped working with the 1866MHz I had been using previously. I don't think the RAM speed should result in such a massive 500 point loss though, this seems rather absurd.. Any ideas?

this could be the case. The 1866MHz is quite a bit faster than that 1066MHz in theory even 1866/1066=70%. I have seen many results in 3D mark with big jumps in differences in RAM speed.
Corsair Dominator Platinum 2800 MHz - Breaking the speed barrier
Check this article and see how big the difference is in Physics tests. You are having a 5-10% decrease in score which is kinda what you expect from lowering your RAM speed that much. Most people say ram speed is not really important it is! :p

Haha all the more reason to get myself some new 1600MHz kit then. I don't use the iGPU for anything other than simple things like web browsing and video playback, but wow I was not expecting such a dramatic drop. Thanks for your help. It's a shame my 1866MHz won't work, it was so snappy.
