I am looking to get a new notebook that would primarily be used for educational purposes and also for some gaming. The only game that I really plan on playing is Warcraft III.
My question is, is a 32 MB ATI 9200 graphics card good enough to play WIII smoothly? Is it better to get a 64 MB card in this situation? If I really want good performance, do I have to go for an ATI 9700?
Thanks for your help.

WC III will do fine with the 9200, but which one i'm not sure you would just have to ask around and look at the specs required. But I have played it on 32mb integrated without much of a problem, and a 1.1ghz celeron

As far as video goes, more is always better. I wouldn't imagine the price difference to be very great between the two video cards, so go with the higher specced one. If you can find a system with 9700 graphics in your price range, I'd go with that for the DX9 support and 128M ram. Notebooks are more prone to obsolescence due to the lack of upgradeable parts, so buying the most powerful machine you can afford takes on more importance than if you were buying a more easily upgradeable desktop.
