    Hi,
    1) I'll go with m90 rather than d820's nvs 120m, what do you think?

    2) Can anyone tell me whats the GRILLED/ CAGED thing at the top, near the keyboard on either side of the m90? Since the speakers are at the front edge, what is it then?

    Thanks!

    Oh,
    here is the picture !

    3) Can someone one tell me why ebay stores sell same config notebooks SO CHEAP?, claiming to be factory sealed NEW!!!

Why so cheap? are they stolen? broken? anything? how do they get the profit then?

Even the refurbished ones on dell outlet cost lot more than what these guys are offering as NEW!

    Please help!

    Thanks!

And whats the battery uptime for m90?

    Thanks!

3.I would advise you to be careful, I myself would only buy a laptop off eBay if they are a power seller and have sold at least over 500 laptops with good feedback.

2.I would think those are the vents that blow out hot air from your laptop.

Dells laptops are overpriced in the first place so it's no wonder the ones in the Outlet stores are more expensive then laptops on eBay. Even so, I would trust Dell over eBay any day.

Yes, they are power sellers, 100% feedback, 2046 items sold!

Vents, :(( I thought they were speakers, do you think the sound quality will be POOR as compared to the latitude d820? because its under the hands/palm rest!

    Thanks!

Well, I believe my cousins Dell E1505 had speakers somewhere near the palmrest and some on the back but even then his speakers were of louder and higher quality then my Sager NP5790 which only has 2 speakers on the left and right-hand corner.

Give me some pictures of these vents/speakers, I'll try to see if I can get a definite answer for you.

Is it cooltechstuff4u that you're looking at on ebay? They're definitely legit, I got mine (exact same model, M90 with a 3500m Quadro) from them, they had it to me within a few business days with not a damn bit of hassle.

Edit: Oh, and those grill things are part of the cooling system, the speakers are located to the left and the right of the Dell logo on the monitor, and to the left and right of the media buttons, as well as a mini subwoofer on the bottom.

Whoops! Nevermind about the two ones on the monitor, I was corrected before when I thought they were speakers but they're actually screw covers. They just really really look like speakers, so that information never really took, haha. But you're correct, there are two speakers and one subwoofer. Regardless, the sound quality is excellent compared to other laptops, still a bit tinny versus a real speaker setup, but decent enough to where I've never noticed it.

The battery life is so-so, depending on what options you go with. I keep my wireless card power on high, but my brightness a bit lower and my processor at about 45%, and just internet surfing and word processing gives me about 1.5-2 hours of battery life. I always have my adapter with me though, I mean you have to with a laptop this size, but I can usually leave it unplugged for the most part if I'm not doing too much.

I'd definitely recommend the M90 if you want to do any digital design work, or play video games, or both (in my case). If you have any other M90 questions please let me know, I'm a bit biased but I've been loving this thing since the moment I got it and it has yet to let me down.

I think i should go with d820 now, develop systems, make money and then get the successor to m90 wich may have the Nvidia quadro fx 5600, ULTRA HIGH END card, its for desktops now, but may come for notebooks, when is the successor to m90 is expected to come? it cant be like m1710, it has to be elegant and dignified like m90!

    Thanks!
