You can't compare consoles and computers performance wise. They are totally different things. -
If you want 360 quality graphics, look for something around an 8700 GT.
-
Even though 360/PS3 GPUs are more comparable to last generations high-end PC GPUs, in relation to current mobile cards your looking at either an 8700GT/HD2600XT.

My 5793 comes tomarrow with 8700 GT...I'll upgrage to 8800 GTX when prices drop but wanted to know if i can play COD4 on the go.
COD4 looks great on my plasma and 360/ps3 so i should be ok untill upgrade! -
yes you will, but it not about 8700 is like 360 gpu.on ps3/360 games are not "working" same as on pc!
-
Should do just fine with COD4. Game is really well done.
-
Hm... the HD2600XT is slower than the 8600M GT.

Nice non-sequitur without supporting evidence.
Bananas are tastier than Pears. -
The HD2600XT should be faster than the 8600m GT. The HD2600 is slightly slower than the 8600m GT.
-
So the HD2600XT should be right above the gddr3 8600mGT? -
There, or on par with the 8700m GT.

COD4 scales well and should be very playable if you plasma is 1280x720/1024, but at higher resolutions the GF8700 may choke out sooner because it would actually render the scene at full resolution while the PS3 and X360 usually render at lower res and then upconvert to the higher output resolution.
So unfortunately there's no guarantee that the experience will be the same or better. But considering how well you can tweak the game it should be fine for playing on that geforce once you find the right balance of settings.
Also, remember the fast that the sliders go all the way to the right on the PS3 or X360, but you can't play everything maxed on the PC doesn't mean that it's worse, it may simply mean the options available on the PC may be more stressful (especially in other games that would offer DX10 features not available on the other two). -

I'm not bothering with the A>B, I was just saying to remember it's not always an equal comparison, so be sure to look into the settings on the two, and basically tweak for whatever works for you on either platform. There's no guarantee that because part A has some better specs than part B it will always perform better.
360 Vid card is comparable to what mobile vid card?
