    3630QM ok for gaming?

    hi,

    just wondering if i would come accross any problems with having this processor in an m18x r2.

    along with this processor its got 2 x amd7970 gpu's

    or would i be better getting a better processor 3740QM with 1 x gtx 680m gpu.

    Your first choice (3630qm + 2x 7970m GPUs) is a better option

    The Crossfire setup will have a bigger impact on gaming than the slight bump in CPU performance. The bigger issue would be "is the price difference worth it to me, and can I afford it?".

    Google Frame Rating. It's a long, extremely technical read but very relevant to your decision. That might put you off from getting CrossFire until AMD get their drivers completely sorted out.

    If same price than the crossfire. Regard to crossfire problems, you can always fall back to single enduro free 7970m.
