Everyone keeps talking about their 3DMark05 scores for the standard 6800 Go. Mine seems low when comparing. But I have 3DMark06 downloaded, would that make a difference?

I just ran it and here's the results:

    SM2.0 Score: 754

    HDR/SM3.0 Score: 689

    CPU Score: 832

    Total Score: 1841

Seems pretty weak when I see people posting 3600+ scores with no overclocking on 3DMark05. Is it the same rating system?

You cant compare '05 and '06 scores, they are on a completely different basis. When people begin to break 10000 on a particular version, then Futuremark release a new edition which is tougher and knocks the scores back.

I havent tried '06 yet so I cant comment for definite on whether your score is good, bad or average, but I would say that its in the right ballpark. Its not time for a reformat, unless you are desperate to hit 1842...

I agree....that score looks about right on target. Every new release that I have seen of 3dMark knocks the scores AT LEAST in half if not more. I am going to try and download 3dMark06 when I get home tonight and see what I get on my I9300. I will post the results tonight.

05 just gave me 3199 with the new XTreme-G 2.25. Seems to be better gaming quality, but 05 doesn't like the driver so it bumps the score down a bit.

That is odd. I think that I have those drivers...but I do have mine OC'ed (score is in sig). Well like I said I am going to have to try 06.
