Guys you may want to check www.anandtech.com. They have a superb review of the 8800GTX (even in SLI!). Finally it is possible to play Oblivion at 2560*1600 with HDR and 4x AA and 16x AF!

    I want that videocard!

The game that it cannot run at max is Oblivion:

2560*1600, HDR, no AA, 16x AF (not sure though): 46 fps. I do not know why they did not enable AA, it is possible with the 8800GTX series...
I think with AA it gets very choppy.

    HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11111111111111111111

i am an unworthy servant of the 8800gtx

23k is just insane, but that dudes kinda sad though

in order to get maybe 1 more point, hes willing to optimize his system by not having a freaking background....

    it's 2 8800gtx, a **** background won't hurt a bit

Those are some nice scores! The 8800GTX is a little expensive though, I'll just have to wait to see what other DX10 cards come out....

    yikes! and I was happy with ~5300 in 3DMark06 with a 7950GT! :p

Hey Twilight, I was out in the Glen Burnie area in Maryland this weekend. Been there before?

Words cannot desribe what I feel right now, as I am stuck with a lonley 7400 that did about 1000 in 3D06. I guess my 360 will have to fill my eyecandy need, and not the 8800GTX. But im still happy with what the 360 can do, playing Gears of War is like directing a movie with a controller, it looks real. It just makes me wonder what kinds of things the 8800 can do...

But try this on for size. Think what the 8950GX2 will be able to do, they will come out with it. Think what 2 of those in quad-sli could do. Im calling a 3D06 score of 40K+ for that.

currently, quad sli is a very undeveloped and immature technology.

the 7950x2 can give incredible performance if its handled nicely by the game but in some game it lags behind 7900 in sli...

though mayhbe 8950x2 will be much better due to dx10 having specific hardware requirements...

    hmmmmm

anyway, after seeing these scores i'm currently debating whether to take the 1600 i have and buy a desktop with the 8800gts or just a s96j...

    tough choice

I think it's time for 3DMark07 seeing such insane scores on 3DMark06. Also, remember this is a dx10 card so you won't even get to see all the eyecandy this card is capable of displaying on 3DMark06.

Now are those liquid nitrogen systems available on the market or is the hazzard too high for the FCC's liking?
