ok so i just bought a 42tl515u toshiba 3d tv and for 3d it is excellent, and the 3d is very good as well, but i would really like to play games in 3d on it and i have an idea of how to double the fps.
essentially the way that the passive 3d works on it is by dividing every other line using polarized filters to provide separate images to each eye, so basically each eye sees an image that is 1920x540, but is stretched out at a 16:9 ratio instead of 16:4.5. while one might think that this degrades quality significantly but when im sitting on the couch the difference is barely noticeable, unless you are reading small one pixel thick text.
anyways my idea is that if some how you could output two separate images, one on top of the other both at 1920x540, stacked on top of eachother(3dTAB), with the 3dtv play software, it would eliminate the bandwidth issue allowing the full 3d experience allowable by current passive 3dtvs, at 60hz instead of 24hz, which sucks and is super slow btw.
so if anyone knows how to do this with 3dtv play or another software, please reply
