This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved.     3Dmark05 hangs

    Well, I've decided to run 3dmark05 and 06 on my new DV5Z to get an idea of what games I can run on this new system.

    I installed 05 and when I try and run it, it just hangs. I've also tried XP SP2 compatibility mode to no avail. I have 06 downloading at the moment to try as well.

    Anyone have any ideas or have done anything to their DV5Z like modded drivers or anything? I haven't updated the video drivers yet, still what came with the notebook out of the box.

    I'm just a little frustrated that the 3dmark hangs when this notebook isn't even a week old yet.
