yes, u just have to get the correct drivers. 163.75 i believe

I've got a sager np2090 with a 8600gt and it runs smoothly in most games but it some times crashes it just says (display driver not responding) but i believe this is a problem with all DX10 cards because i have a friend who has a 8800 ultra and he has the same problem. But both of us run DX10 cards on vista so I'm not sure about XP.

Average should be over 3000, I believe.
There is a sticky on the top of the forum with a bunch of links that will definitely give you in depth information.
Here is a link to a post explaining how to update your drivers. The newest ones for Vista are 163.75 and seem to be pretty good.

If you're running Vista then that is the problem. I run an 8800GTX under XP and I never have any problems. Any system I've used with Vista has had driver problems of some sort, especially those with dedicated cards (ATI/Nvidia). I remember my Sager under Vista had driver crashing problems all the time. Ever since I took the Sager back to XP there have been no problems.

I have no problems with vista and the ddr3 8600mgt in my G1S.
-
Only game that's crashed on me is Oblivion, there's no real rhyme or reason to it, it just happens.

I don't know where you've read about problems, the only times it's crashed on me have been a couple of random incidents. Once was the first time I was playing CS:S and tried alt-tab'ing out of it (steam games always seem to cause problems for me doing that) and once just today on UT3 for no apparent reason. I'd been playing it a lot yesterday without a hitch, so maybe it's just because I've been messing around with drivers :/

so is this a manufacuring problem, or will drivers for vista solve the problems

A. Doing a bit of searching around the forums would have answered both of your questions, please do that next time.
B. 3DMark is an irrelevant benchmark for gaging real-life gaming performance
and C. You can type out the words "you" and "what" and it would make your post look better. This isn't an instant messaging program (no offense intended).
And stop creating so many little threads. It would have been better had you simply posted your second question in the same thread since they both dealt with the 8600M-GT. No matter, I merged them. -
the only 2 games that crash on me is Half Life 2 and Oblivion
3d mark
