    Hi,

    I got myself 3dmark vantage and was keen to run some test on my laptop. Now vantage won't run any tests, since my laptop screen does not support 1280x1024 pixels (max res = 1280x800). I noticed however that vantage has an entry settings option, which sets the resolution to 1024x768 pixels, but it won't let me run that either.

    Any ideas how to get it to work. I don't have an extrenal monitor so, I can't hook it up to another screen.

    You won't be getting final score after running on lower resolution than 1280x1024.
    Try change from main window to options and then click run benchmark-works for me.

    Vantage has set resolutions for each test.

    Performance = 1280x1024
    Those are all the scores that start with "P" so my performance results for my desktop are like P12394

    Then the next highest resolution is High and that one is like 1680x1050 or somewhere near there.

    Last is Extreme and thats 1920x1200

    Again results would start with those letters so HXXXXXX and EXXXXXX

    This is a great system because if you follow benchmarks closley you will notice that many sites and people have accidentaly run 3dmark06 at a lower than default resolution and got a higher score than they should have without noticing it. This causes a lot of false performance information to go out about a certian model video card or system configuration.

    So you have to include your resolution settings when you run 3dmark06, with vantage tho if you see PXXXXXX you know it was a performance setting and at 1280x1024 and that the score is accurate.

    If you can not run the resolution, you can not run the test, simple as that. You maybe able to run custome resolutions for a custom test but probably not with the free version only a paid version, and you wont get a valid score back tied to one of the resolution/difficulty settings.
