Back on topic: you guys need to start running it at 1280x1024. There's a big difference between scores from WXGA and SXGA.

I personally don't bother with 3DMark. Games run fine, and that speaks volumes more than a synthetic benchmark.

Take two examples of the same video card. (2 DDR2 8600m GT's, for example)

One scores 3000. The second scores 3500. The second will therefore have better framerates in all games.

When comparing the same or similar video cards, synthetic benchmarks are useful to make sure that your card performs at specification as well as just comparing overclocking results, etc. So the people who run 3DMark like it's a game? Yeah, that's stupid. But there's no need to ignore legitimate uses of 3DMark.

I wasn't bashing 3DMark. It's a good program. I was just saying there's no need for me to run it on my system since games run fine.
