Disappointing. Thread title had me thinking someone had a computer with 40 CPUs and 23 GPUs all running at once.

Huh. Not bad considering my overclocked 8600 gets a bit over a 1000.

 Me too! Though 16000 for the top score is still no slouch.

The spread between GPU's seems a bit higher than in 3dmark06 though. In '06, the difference between the 8400 GS and 8600 GT was a factor of 2.5. In '08, it's a factor of 5. Maybe it's just because I'm comparing the mobile versions in the '06 and desktop versions in '08, but even so the gaps between different classes of GPU's seem larger in '08 than I'm used to in '06.

CPU score is 5-20%, right? So even with a horrible GPU, a system with 40 CPU's ought to deliver a pretty awesome, if somewhat misleading, score.

Yeah, me too, I bet it'd even be able to play with 2 x AA, and not drop below 10fps (Until heavy combat, of course :p )

Mheh, the title was misleading...but I can get past that.
It`s funny that the 9800 GTX has a minor improvement over the 8800 GTX, albeit a small one, and the 9800GX2 SLI show about 3 times the score of the 8800 GTX.
    So SLI = crap, again...

Lol,you people have no sense of subtlety.
As Nirvana said, this is the best way to get people to read the topic and post :D
However , I don`t see anyone else interpretating those GX2 SLI results as oposed to a single 8800 GTX..
