You cannot game at 4k on a maxwell gpu, ever unless its sli 980s or titan x/ 980ti.

Im gaming at 1080p on my laptop with GTA V. I set scaling to 4k equiv.

thats 60fps high settings 4k 3840x2160p

GTA V mostly very high looking like ultra


now thats with a unlocked 965m that averages 5900p in firestrike and 6900 gpu score in FS


So why do you computer experts say its not possible?

I mean You are saying you need all low or you need a custom config for ultra low in all games.
This game is from 2015 and is fairly demanding, and 965m is a midrange GPU

So what veryhigh at 4k averaging 60fps isnt good enough to say you can run it?

NBR WAKE UP, I posted a thread while back asking if i could game at 4k with 960m you all said impossible or no. y50 was the laptop in question. perhaps you were right about the 960m but surely your mistaken about the 965m and up.

Please. dont. troll (with) witcher 3 maxed with uber aa and wanting 120 fps at 4k. im afraid you might need a GAMING HELMET.

Can you benchmark Doom, The Division, Project Cars and Killing Floor 2 at 4k for me?

Sorry but no one in their right mind is going to tell someone to pick up a 960m for 4k gaming. Having 1 edge case of a game hitting 60fps isnt grounds for a strong argument or to recommend it for 4k. Running 4 year old games, although valid isn't a strong argument either.

You should also link to the original thread before you come in swinging your junk around pointing fingers.
It's just hearsay otherwise.

the odd game of 2016 has to be on low...

And yes 960m cant really handle 4k but the 965m can....just barely.

970m-30fps
980m 45fps at 4k on avg


prove me wrong that games cant be played at 4k cause im not trolling and this is legit im gaming at 4k and getting descent fps
