i would download from there... ppl have a lot of difficulty with EA Store due to the DRM etc so really your better off buying the box copies or from Steam which IMO is not much better.

First, I'm not sure what he means by link up, but you can definitely buy Vietnam on the EA store, and use the Vietnam key within BC2. That's what they sell you: the key to unlock the content already on your HDD.

I'm pretty sure the 50% Xmas sale was exclusive to UK only, hence why MrDJ has access to the sales, and not us in North America. I was reading online that there was a way to get it, but it involved using a 'Proxy Site' and you had to use a Credit Card, etc etc... too many unknowns in that equation for me so I skipped it. I'm just assuming a sale is coming our way soon for the Vietnam expansion.

As for the keys being compatible between EA Store and Steam, yes, as far as I have read, they are compatible and it's just a question of inputting the key once you purchase it from either seller.

Don't games from EA Store require their own EA client?

EDIT: Sorry, I missed the fact that they provide a CD-key

There is no such thing as Vietnam expansion not being compatible with any version of BF:BC2. Don't listen to anyone who tells you otherwise. Everyone who currently owns BF:BC2 on the PC already has Vietnam installed on their machines. When you purchase Vietnam from ANY SOURCE all they give you is an unlock code you punch in on the Vietnam Tab of your BC2 menu (yeah, even Steam purchases give you a code you have to punch in).

Deal over? I see Vietnam for full $15.00 price.

I just bought the steam version of BFBC2 not long ago though due to me preferring steam to EA Downloader, but I do have the BFBC2 game on EA.
