Direct 2 Drive is still around? They've been slow to react with their business, not proactive like valve.

Only 2 worth buying are Bioshock & Civ 4, they'd have to pay me to play the others.

They offer some pretty good deals sometimes, I check D2D periodically just for the deals.

I wouldn't buy Civilization IV from them; the D2D downloads especially have a tendency to cause issues with patches (which are often late and have to be seperate from regular patches) and mods (in some cases because they require a patch D2D doesn't have). Not only that, but Civ4 Complete for $40 is $5 cheaper than their "50% off" seperate purchases. True, you could probably skip Warlords and get them for $35 from D2D and have almost as good a package, but the $5 isn't worth the increased trouble that not having the standard distribution will cost you.

That said, Bioshock for $10 may be a good deal, but I'd steer clear of this "deal" on Civilization IV.

Yeah Bioshock for $10 is a deal, great game. Would let some people that havent played it a chance to catch up before Bioshock 2 comes out later this year. Though I've never dealt with D2D.

Steam had it for $5 during Christmas.

Thanks for the heads up on Civ IV I was going to buy it, I guess I'll just stick with Bioshock which is a great deal. But I have never had any patching issues with D2D but maybe that's just me.
