Are there any games in the pipeline that will be requiring a 512mb graphics card?

How do you mean by require? That would mean it would need at least a 7900GTX 512mb to run since by saying at least 512mb your saying even at lower settings a 7900GTX 256mb should fall over which means all the 512mb 6200 would never stand a chance.

If you meant be able to use (and in that sense only having dual 7800/7900GTX has the power to use it) then games like oblivion at high resolutions with AA/AF already use it.

They have officially posted the requirment for 'Crysis' and they are quite high.Even the min cards are fast units!!
It just seems as game demands are getting higher and higher,a 512mb will be needed very soon.
Maybe i'm totally wrong and in 6-12 months 128mb-256mb cards will still be abel to enjoy the latest and greatest.

    Just a thought :)

Yeah but the current single chip cards wont be powerful to set the game to the point where it uses more than 256mb of gfx ram, they will just be unplayable at those details. It has more to do with the core than the amount of ram.
