will the speed of your notebook hardrive effect gameplay? Has anyone benchmarked to check differences?

it will affect load times mainly.

I will affect performance, but not much, and it's game specific. Also, the 7200 rpm uses more power, and generates more heat.

Great discussion here, in the sticky: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=59053

Nope, it won't affect frame rate or game performance at all. It will affect load times though, so if that's important go for the faster HDD. Heat and battery life differences will be negligible in most notebooks.

I have found that a 7200 RPM hard drive can also help with faster boot times, as others have said, the data can be retrieved much faster.
5400 7200 Rpm ?
