My ASUS G73Jh-BST7 runs WoW on ultra settings decently, but it gets as hot as 56 degrees max if im in Orgrimmar. Is this normal? I'm using the "Balanced" Windows 7 power setting. Should i be getting 50-56 degrees cel while playing WoW?

If that's the CPU or GPU temps, then it's just fine ._.

That's pretty good whether it's GPU or CPU. Even 80C is considered "high normal" at extreme gaming.

That is really low for any sort of gaming laptop playing any sort of demanding game. While playing games (or doing anything CPU heavy) on my Y460 it can get up to 80C. Laptops in general have pitiful cooling when compared to desktops, so their temperatures are often a lot higher.

I'd actually say that something's wrong with your system haha. Thats too cool of a temp to be gaming. Most probably you ar ejust using a mere fraction of your power.

Something's wrong with your laptop bro.

It's called inefficiency. Your GPU's getting mighty undervolted and underclocked, thus resulting in lower-than-usual temperature so that the MTBF (mean time before failure) of your laptop can be slightly boosted in exchange for lots and lots of hidden potential performance by manufacturer.

tl;dr, you need to OC that mofo badly, otherwise you're wasting the laptop's potential. Overclock until one of these two things happens: (1) peak ingame temperature reaches 75 C, or (2) GPU starts glitching if you overclock further. Whichever happens first.

Well he did say he was using the "balanced" power settings so the card itself probably isn't really using it's full potential :) Set it to high performance and then tell us the temps

Balanced shouldn't limit the system at all. Only Power Saver does that.

Define gaming... are we talking Solitare or Crysis? And are you sitting on an air vent?

It's more than likely that his laptop cooler is a block of dry ice.
