It'll have to wait until tonight. The 5830 may not be quite as fast as a properly clocked 260M GTX, but it's at least as fast as the GTS, and is almost certainly faster than some of those underclocked GTX's. ATI and Nvidia have different strengths depending on the game. And the new drivers have finally opened up the power of the 5xxx series Radeons, too.

You'd probably catch up to me with an overclock. Judging by the 5870M, I think you can attain 5850 clocks without much sweat, as long as the Envy's cooling is up to the task
I'm impressed so far.
Also, I just noticed that your Unigine run was DX10. How much of a performance gain you see in DX11, without tessellation?
I'm thinking we might need to move this over to the 5830 vs GTX 260M topic. -
Heh. We might. But since there's nobody with a 5850 in here yet, the 5830 will have to serve as a proxy
DX11 I see a pretty good performance drop with tesselation enabled (maybe 30%), but it's a massive increase in geometry if you check the screenshots. All the cobblestones, all the roof tiles, the dragon, ropes, everything is tesselated, so I'm guessing it's mostly hammering on the bandwidth. I'll check to see what a non-tesselated run does tonight as well.

Here are some links to get the benchmarks, configure them like you see Kevin_Jack2.0 and I have them configured (1680x1050, DX10 if possible, DX10 and DX11 results would be awesome)
Unigine Heaven: http://unigine.com/download/
STALKER COP: http://cop.stalker-game.com/?page=news&item=150
And any of these would be a great bonus:
Devil May Cry: http://www.techpowerup.com/downloads/1111/Devil_May_Cry_4_Benchmark.html
Resident Evil 5: http://downloads.guru3d.com/Resident-Evil-5-PC-Benchmark-Utility-download-2331.html
Street Fighter 4: http://www.eventhubs.com/news/2009/jun/14/pc-street-fighter-4-benchmark-tool-released/
I can't find a World in Conflict benchmark download, only a demo. Kevin_Jack2.0 may have to answer whether or not that can do it.
