    Hi

    Would really appreciate some guidance on how good this graphics setup is. I've heard some issues about SLI and support etc, do most games support it?

    All things being equal which single gpu graphics card for laptops is it about equivalent to?

    the 6990m and the 580m are equivalent to 2x 5870m, however the 7970m is going to offer much better performance by at least 40%

    Here on the right you can see the GPUs listed. The ones higher in the list are generally better. Note that this does not tell you how much better they are. The 7970m is currently the single fastest GPU available. I would bet it would be cheaper to purchase one 7970m than two of any other GPUs that perform similarly. Also, remember that the 7970m is manufactured in 28nm so you save on power over two GPUs manufactured in 45.
