Well I have 60$ of cash I dont need and decided I need more games.
Currently I have NFS Carbon/Prostreet/Assasins Creed/GTA SA/DOD (league player)/Halo/Halo2/Gears of war/Bioshock
I personally prefer racing games and really enjoy DOD. Not so much Assasins creed/Halo/Halo 2 Get sick of them far too easily.
So looking for recommendations (preferably off steam)
-
Crysis would be my top recommendation. If you like racing, you could check out Test Drive Unlimited.
-
Call of Duty 4, World in Conflict
-
Thanks for recommendations, tried both. Crysis was dissapointing and beat TDU
Call of Duty 4 is on my list as a possibility how are source games/orange box/TF2? -
Orange box is always a wonderful pick. :]
-
Im just questioning is it worth it. Not sure if I would play HL2
. TF2 Looks awsome though
-
Orange Box
World in Conflict
TrackMania Nations Forever (FREE DOWNLOAD) -
Thanks for suggestions people!
-
Yup. Orange Box and then buy a six pack of beer with the left over money.
-
I recommend the Orange box games if you havent tried it before.
Ive played abit of Team Fortress 2 and it was fun -
Orange Box isn't bad.
I'd also suggest taking a look at Titan's Quest if you like Diablo-esque games. It's like, $30 on steam. -
You can't go wrong with The Orange Box.
Portal and TF2 is worth the $50 alone, not to mention the 3-pack of HL2 series. -
masterchef341 The guy from The Notebook
orange box is great. all the games included rock.
CoD4 is also ridiculously high on the production value scale. -
Orange Box and COD4
-
I'd like to suggest audiosurf, its like 10 bucks and I love it.
the graphics aren't that super, but it provides addicting gameplay that does not get boring anytime soon. -
Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
Quick OB question, if I bought the retail OB, do i get seperate keys to the games? I already have HL2 and EP1, so would I be able to give those games to someone else?
-
Iceman, yes. Steam keeps track of it and will allow to send your unused keys to some other lucky individual. That's what I did for HL2 & EP1 since I already had those as well. The recipient will get the fully licensed game for free! Use it as a b-day, xmas, or a 'just because I love you' gift.

Sweet, the gift thing worked without a hitch, last hospital stay I met this awesome kid who sadly is in worse shape than anyone ought to be, I let him use my laptop while I was there and he was so smitten with it I scraped around and got him an old dell 6400 with an x1400 pretty cheap, gonna load a few games on for him, some steam games a and a few emulators, should keep him busy for awhile. Thanks again.
One other question, is it possible to "gift" games on your account you no longer use? -
how sweet of you ^^
-
Thats really kind of you to do that.
I'm not sure. You can just give the person your steam account. But you would probably have to ask steam, as I'm not sure if you can gift the actual account. -
+1 rep to Iceman for "paying it forward".

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
I dont want to lose my steam account, I have quite a few games I play and want to keep, also have quite a few games that would be pretty age unapprpriate, kids 10 (going on 40) and leads a fairly sheltered life, I thought his mom was going to stroke when she first saw me talking with him, a strange hairy man with nearly 70% of his body covered in tattoos talking to her baby was unsettling at first for her, but her attitude quickly changed after a conversation or three. Her stipulations are moderate violence is okay as long as its a clear cut "evil" enemy, little to no ***, drugs, or foul language, and little gore, half life 2 fits the bill, most of my other games dont. He'll primarilly stick to old school emulators, but i want to give him a few modern "grown up" games.
One would think trading or giving would be allowed, as selling games is legal if you delete it from your system, but I spose that could put a nice dent in their profit margin, for as much freedom as they give gamers, cant blame em for wanting to make the bucks they can. -
A real nice racing game to try out would be Live For Speed. Costs about $48, but is well worth it.
-
Nice to hear Iceman
thanks miniz -
You can buy tf2 alone with steam for 20$. And ut2004 for 15 and bioshock for 30. That's 3 great games for 65$.
60$ to Spend : Recommend some games
