    Hi all,

    I just bought a Compaq V6000 as a hack,on the sign in the store it said the 6150 has 128mb of shared memoy,but if you look on the Nvidia control center on the laptop it says it has 256mb??

    That means it's taking another 128mb of RAM from your notebook's base RAM I would assume.

    Hello Hillybilly, any chance you could make me a little favor trying to play games and telling me how bad it really is? This is not a joke, I want to buy a laptop in the US and I only play CS Source and I am curious about the 6150 and the ATI 1150.

    Sorry but all my games are in storage at the mo,but i ran the freeware of 3dmark05 and 3dmark03 and got 638 1148

    How much RAM does your laptop have? On some laptops with integrated Nvidia or ATI GPUs, the amount of RAM the GPU shares can be controlled from the BIOS, so look into that.

    Whether it shares 128MB or 256MB of RAM, the performance won't be any different.

    By comparison an xpress 200m gets around 515 at standard clock on 3dmark05 so i'd expect the 6150 and 1150 to have pretty similar performance.
