    Hi,

I don't think it's a good idea to buy a laptop with this GPU, because 3d gen intel processor IGP runs at almost the same performance.

Spend the extra 50 and get yourself a 1gb 650m... it will blow that thing out of the water. You cant upgrade non gaming laptops (alienware) graphic cards. What you order is what you get.

Download a program called GPU-Z techPowerUp! :: Downloads

Run the program and it should tell you which 630m you have. you may have to select the video card at the bottom of the program from the intel video card.

As for BF3, it will definitely be playable on med/low settings with textures set to high and resolution set to 1366x768. i would youtube some videos of people playing BF3 with a nvidia 540m GT or 630m GT and they will tell you what settings they're playing on and the performance they get.

For overclocking, it's definitely possible, but it all depends on the laptop's build and air flow. My experience with HP laptops is that they overheat easily and overclocking may not be an option. However, you can try overclocking little by little while observing your computer temperatures.

If you're buying from the US, definitely get the 650M in this machine - it'll be at least twice as fast for a mere $50. If you're really out of options on upgrading, you'll be playing older games at lower resolutions until you get a new laptop.
