What is the idle temperature of the 670mx?

Mine idles at 43-50 degrees Celcius and my room temperature is very cold (below 70F / 21C). Laptop is the NP9170 (17 inch).

Does sound a little high. What is it when you turn a game on?

what software are you using to monitor temps.
lots in my signature below. try nvidia inspector and msi afterburner to compare.

when was the last time you cleaned your vents and fans out with compressed air by removing the base.

my 680 is jumping back and forth from 42-44c

forgot to ask, what laptop have you got

I used MSI Afterburner. I am worried about the idle temperature, but I've never seen it go past 70 degrees Celcius on load (3dmark11, 3dmark06) so I don't know what to make of it. Laptop is a brand new Sager NP9170.

try nvidia inspector just to compare. mine has been on 2 hours now and still jumping between 42-44c

    interesting.
i just closed forum and loaded afterburner and fans turned off. and within 5 seconds the gpu temp dropped to 40c on both msi and inspector. opened forum again to post this and fans started again and it went back up again.
now i would of thought with the fan on it would lower the temp not the other way round.
