I just received my new hp laptop a few days ago, dv6t quad edition. It has the i7 2720qm processor, 8gb memory, and 6770m 1gb graphics card. I have been playing Starcraft 2 and I have not seen the frame rate go above 10fps yet. I was just playing online in 1v1 and the frame rate was 5fps. I read in another forum that the driver for the 6770m might need to be updated to make it run faster. I updated the driver and tried playing the game again; still 5 fps. I'm just guessing here, but it seems the computer isn't using the 6770m. If it's only getting 5 fps it seems like it's utilizing the Intel HD 3000 graphics card instead of the 6770m. If I go into " configure switchable graphics" I have already selected starcraft 2 as being "high performance". My device manager says there is a 6770m, however it's not working. From what I have read I should be getting 50-60fps with starcraft 2, not 5 fps on medium settings. I also get messages all the time saying my computer is slowing down the game and that I should lower my graphics quality.
Any ideas? I am not that computer savvy, so I really don't know how to fix the problem. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Is the laptop plugged (to the electricity) and the battery is on performance?

if u are dv61xx owner, there is new bios released (F1A) with option to select "fixed" or "dynamic" graphic switching.
