What is wrong? I got a Dell inspiron 9300 with a GeForce 6800 2 months ago. Played a couple of games with it, went very well.

I just installed Half-Life II... for some reason, the only 3 choices of resolution I get in the game are 640*480, 800*600 and 1024*768. I want to play in 1440*900, which I always used for other games with great success. What do you think may be wrong??? Is there a way to fix it?

You should be able to dl the newest driver for nVidia without any problems. And what kind of monitor are you playing it on? It seems strange that you can not jump up higher because mine is up in the higher ranges.

under the screen resoltions, change ur aspect ratio from 4:3 to either 16:9 or 16:10. One of those should fix ur problem.

Thank you, that was the problem. Pretty dumb on my part...

Now let's find a fix for the fact that my girlfriend dumped me while I was trying to make that game work...
