Hi, thank you for the suggestion but I already ordered this: ::: Zalman - ZM-RHS1
Don't know if it's better or not but I had them applied when I had my 7970M and they worked great ;)

    Best Regards to all

Those are good too, I have tried them. But I found the Enzotech dissipates even more, I'm getting around 1-2C lower than the Zalman without cooler support.

Hi, first time posting here :)
Repasted my notebook day after I got it after reading through this tread since I also had temps around 88-90 degrees both in gaming and kombustor. Initially after repasting Kombustor showed 73 degrees steady (no throttling), tried gaming afterwards and saw temps in the upper 80s again.
Currently kombustor drives it to ~86 (with throttling), gaming high 70s/low 80s without throttling. I've also done the foil mod and fit it on my Notepal U2.
Should I try repasting again? Try to bend the heatpipes more in line with the fan?

As for paste I used Arctic Silver 5, very hard to get anything else except for Mx-2/4.

Edit: Also alittle concerned since my 3dmark11 score is around 5915 - 5850, as people seem to get much higher.

    Thank you :)

Thought I had added that to my signature but apparently I can't yet. It's a P170EM, GTX 680m, I7-3610QM with 8GB ram bought through Mysn uk.

I have repasted from the default factory paste with Arctic Silver 5. My problem is that right after the repasting the temperature on the gpu maxed out at 73 degrees with kombustor, but it didn't stay that way.
Currently (about 2 days after repasting) I get 86 degrees and throttling with kombustor. It's idling at 41-50 degrees (fans come on at 50, drops it to 41 and then it rises again).

kombustor and furmark will always make nvidia GPU throttle. its not an accurate measurement anymore... just use gaming temps

Using MSI BIOS it does not throttle with kombustor and furmark. Using Clevo BIOS it does.

Ok, but the thing is that my temp shot way up just a short while after re-pasting, played some after the initial 73 degrees kombustor test and the temp went up to 88. I tightened the screws on the gpu thinking it went out of alignment because of heat expansion after the first test and gaming now I see temps around 78 - 80 degrees with 97-99% utilisation. This seems quite high compared to what other people have reported, especially since I also have it on a Notepal U2.

Would it help if I re-pasted again? Anyone tried bending the heatsink more into alignment?

Your temperature for gaming is fine. People on this forum also have a different ambient temperature when running their GTX680M.
