    hello,

i want to request Nvidia Geforce 680M owners to post min, max and avg fps you experienced in some popular GPU heavy games when played with MAX settings. I need this info for comparisons. thanks for your help

    examples:

    Crysis
    Crysis 2
    Crysis 3 beta
    Farcry 3
    Batman Arkham City
    Battlefield 3
    Metro 2033
    Witcher 2
    GTA 4

feel free to post scores for games that are not in my list too. :)
fps doesn't have to be exactly spoton. just give me an approx number you remember from your gameplay

    appreciate your help!

This is all maxed at stock clocks.

I always use vsync so can't provide any numbers above 60 fps if it does go higher.

Some of those numbers don't look quite right. When you say maxed, do you mean full aa? Metro 2033 with DOF and 4xmsaa won't pull off 40-50 fps from my experience (had the exact same setup as you btw) BF3 wouldn't stay at a steady 60 fps with full aa either, Crysis 2 was definitely better than 30 fps even completely maxed out, and Far Cry 3 was 25-40 fps with 8xmsaa.

When i say maxed i mean with at least 2x AA you get diminishing returns beyond that point.

I didn't play much of metro 2033 since i didn't like it much, but thats the rates i had, BF3 definitely gives me 60fps. Crysis 2 seemed to lock around 30 for me sometimes going up to 40, this is with dx11 patch on extreme or whatever they call it.

Ok, that makes sense then. That's odd about Crysis though, even when I played with MaldoHD 4.0 (adds way better textures, anisotropic filtering, aa, etc.) I still had framerates in the 50-60fps range. I never played vanilla Crysis 2 on max settings though, so maybe performance would actually be worse than it was while modded.

thanks everyone...i get only 25-40 fps for crysis 2 extreme with high-res textures installed...is this normal? even on high i get only 50 max...but the notebookcheck.net scores are a lot better than mine.

What cpu do you have, and what are your physics and graphics scores? If you have a 3610/3630, then 5922 isn't bad. It might be slightly lower than average, but it's definitely within the range of "normal." Drivers have a significant impact on performance as well, so it may help to try updating to the latest on Nvidia's website.

    graphics score is 5784
    physics score is 8098 (cpu : 3720QM)
    combined score is 4839

the wierd thing is 3D mark results age showed my core clock as 324 Mhz which is wrong.

i am just a little concerned because i seem to get low fps in all the popular GFX demanding games when compared to others results on internet.

i had stutter issue with Farcry 3
Assassins creed 3, i got 30-40fps on high
even crysis and crysis 2, i get only 25-40 on highest settings

Not sure what's going on, but 5.7k does seem pretty low (I believe my graphics score was around 6.3k on stock clocks.)

Yeah 6200-6300 should be 3DMark11 680m stock performance. The 324MHz is troublesome though. Sounds like it's locked in a lower P-state. Check that your power profile is on high performance, and am assuming you're not running on battery.

You get 50-60 on Crysis one maxed?

Mine hovers at around the 40s always. Weird.

I also got mid 20s for Crysis 2 maxed out. My 680m is at stock clocks also.

I'm running at 1920x1080 with 4GB of RAM and an i7-3630QM if that makes any difference.

Also, I actually ordered a laptop with a 7970m but they 'screwed up' the order and sent me this 680m. I doubt that would affect things though but thought I'd mention it. Latest Nvidia drivers also installed.
