Hello!
I have a problem with my clevo p170hm, i only get around 7000 in 3dmark vantage, gpu score. My drivers are 8.850.0.0, so my question is how do i uppdate them?
-
I just installed the latest ones from the amd website.
make sure you're not running in balanced or power saver mode as well.
change both the windows battery icon to high performance and the name less laptop icon on your task bar to performance mode as well. -
Can you give me link, i nay find ccc.
-
I managed to update the drivers to 8.930.0.0, but i still only get 8000 gpu on 3dmark vantage, is my gpu bad or what's the problem?
-
Your GPU score should indicate a number above 13000.
^^ This. -
That gave me 9,5k gps, still way to low
-
Make sure you also have your bar set all the way to "Performance" in CCC > Gaming > Gaming Performance > Standard 3d settings

These drivers have been working flawlessly for me. -
That gave me 10000 gpu, any other tips?
-
Did you use the standard "performance" settings in Vantage? the "out of the box" settings? Could you give us other benchmarks?
-
Got around 2,2k 3dmark 11, and yes performance on vantage.
-
those are quite low.
have you checked your temps while benching or gaming? -

I got a freshly installed windows / drivers - Vantage score of 20,000. Does that sound about right?
-
should be about 24-25k on crossfire, make sure your ccc settings are set to performance

I will have to do that. I didn't change any settings in Vantage either.. Just installed and launched it. -
HTML:Got 2,9k 3dmark 11 with 103°c at most and 106 in 3dmark vantage, wich is kinda high, right?
-
Dude that is dangerously high! You need to monitor your temperatures. You cannot let temps go beyond 95... or even 90. These temps will fry your GPU.
There are numerous software packages out there like MSI Afterburner or GPU-Z.
I recommend a repaste too. -
Monitoring the temperatures is one thing.
He/she needs to completely bring them down.
'Sprode'... when was the last time you cleaned out your laptop air vents and the fan from dust?
If you say 'never', it's entirely likely/possible that your gpu is throttling itself.
But the temperatures you mentioned are simply too high.
A re-paste (applying new thermal paste) of the gpu/cpu would probably be good.
If neither of those helps... try doing a fresh install of Windows.
If that doesn't help either, then I would advise you to RMA the laptop and either ask for a replacement or a refund. -

Yeah, thats getting WAY up there on notebook cooling.. Need to make sure you dont have a plugged or malfunctioning fan. -
i actually cleaned and repasted both cpu and gnu like 2 months ago, and just did a fresh install of windows. I have been in contacting my reseller and they told me to clean it and repast, and if that didn't work send it in.
Thanks for all the help!
