    Hello, I'm planning in buying a new laptop but I'm between the NVIDIA 710m / 840m, which of these will perform better than my current 555m?

    840M ofc. But probably not a whole lot faster if you have the 144 shader/128-bit GDDR5 version of 555M.

    He right of course, but in the future a general rule with Nvidia is that if a number is larger (in both the Hundreds ans Tens place) it's a faster GPU.

    I'd say 870M minimum.. Honestly, notebooks with 970M's are like 1200 so really no excuse for not getting a 970M at least... (I'm talking about Clervo P650SE)...
