Now it saves my key.. ^_^
Seems leaving it and going to sleep works.

That said I have only played multiplayer once, it works fine (for that time alone). If i get more problems i'll let you all know.

Just met up to a few hackers today. Some trace ya cross-map with a sniper while you're sprinting cloaked. But the worst was this guy with a sniper, he never ADS. He just hip-fires a single round and will ALWAYS get a headshot, and he doesn't need to look for people. He'll drop down somewhere and his view immediately turns to you (even if you're behind him) and you die.
    Mmm look! Haxxors! =D

if only we could name and shame but we have to have 100% proof first. theres been lots of finger pointing on steam and crytek forums.
ive already kicked and then banned 4 players using my server so far.

a little obvious but after 30 seconds of a match starting these players were on 20 kills each.

I find it gets obvious if the only person who seems to kille me is one person. If I constantly see the same name killing me, that kinda tells me something. I don't believe that the rest of the team is so bad that only one person can kill me.

Yeah. There are a few of them that'll sprint forever in cloak, then just see you and shoot you right out of cloak, then just sprint away again (how their energy is already built up I'll never know, but they're higher level and I don't know the game inside-out like CoD). But if someone is sniping and instantly (without fail) sees me sprinting from cover to cover while I'm cloaked? Something's wrong. Usually you have to look HARD at a spot to recognize a hidden guy, even with a sniper.

But this other guy picked up the DSG-1 with a sniper scope. And he never aimed down the sight, he just walked around, jumped from second story floors and stuff, then just turned in peoples' direction and then you'd see the headshot killcam, where the bullet flies slowly to your face? That one. He just does that to everyone, only time you get to kill him is if you're behind him within a small degree set... Like a 65 degree angle from the center of his back. If you weren't, you died, and were powerless against it, because headshot with a sniper > armour mode + full health.

Just saw some dudes that can fire machine guns while cloaked. Oh joy.

So, any word on multiplayer? I got the game 2 or 3 days ago, and I get a network error and it won't connect in multiplayer.. at all..

The forums suggest turning off ICS, but that's only for wireless (I'm wired and it's already off).

Anyone know what settings need to be set to let this run in Win 64-bit?

The game was consolized to the point that there are no custom GFX settimgs and no 64-bit...

Crytek doesn't seem to care about fixing the issues plaguing the game right now, too bad they already got most of our $60.

I was thinking the exact same thing while reading this thread. They got what they wanted; they sold you the game. Although they still sold less than they could have if they made a properly working game, next time they will make it even more half-assed since they didn't sell as many PC copies as they would have liked.

They weren't marketing to the pc at all..... its evident and they don't try and hide the fact, they said they are focusing on consoles for this game, reason money. Crysis 1 is one of the most pirated pc games to date, which is enough reason to switch to serving the console market. Not to say ps3 and 360 doesn't have piracy, but it's definitely a lower number then what pc boasts, and also their are more gamers playing on consoles, making it a higher chance to sell more units. Regardless its no excuse for a buggy game, even consoles suffer some huge graphics bugs.

Regardless, this game is more a calling card/tech demo than it is an actual game, its a proof of concept. They wanted to build an engine that they could sell as using all of what current consoles have to offer. Allowing developers a quick robust engine they can develop a game for, that allows them to go from idea, to concept, to finish game, with the least amount of messing around with computer code and junk, and worry more about game design. They make more off royalties of selling the cryengine to as many developers as possible, taking a chunk out of their pie.

Now the MP is just full of hacks and glitchers. They ruined the gameplay with the run and gun design. Crysis 1 had much better, team and strategy based MP.

At first, I was like "lolwut Crysis 1 MP is crap LOLOLOL", but then, after I played it, my God, never played Crysis 2 again. Crysis 1 is much more fun and chaotic...

Still, I uninstalled both and came back to BC2. Crysis series are kind of boring... ( except C2 SP ).

So about that 1.4 patch....performance is A LOT smoother for me on "Very High" settings. Still no custom graphics options though. There seems to be less mouse lag and everything feels a bit less glitchy.

However, the rounds are still too short and the run & gun objective-less gameplay gets boring fast.

To be fair, very few games today are natively 64-bit. Off the top of my head, the only true 64-bit games I know of are Half-Life 2, the original Crysis (I don't remember if Warhead was as well), and I believe Far Cry and Unreal Tournament 2004 were both retroactively given 64-bit versions.

    You forgot BF3 ;)

DICE has confirmed 64-bit support and it may use up to 4GB RAM :)
