I got a new HP pavilion dv6383 with a geforce go 7400 I removed vista and loaded xp on it and installed the XG mobile force drivers, and then installed rivatuner and found that my GPU's memory clock was only 700 and on the net its 900 so i oc'd it to 900 and got a big performance boost and now can play Zerohour on high ,I don't want to oc my laptop but i thought i am only running my GPU on its real specs is it safe?

You should keep an eye out on the temperatures of the notebook though. That card might have been underclocked to save battery life or keep the heat down...and heat is the biggest worry.
