Fat Dragon Just this guy, you know?
Didn't think much of Tales of Monkey Island myself - it's probably worth the discounted price but I was a bit disappointed after paying full price for the preorder.
Personally, I picked up Hector for $2.50 and the Sam and Max Blowout Bundle for about $17 (swag, one item's discontinued so we'll see if that actually gets shipped...). Definitely a sweet deal. As for the other games, I've already got most of their stuff sans CSI, Bone, and Back to the Future (the free episode was abysmal).
RE: HD Remakes, are you referring to the MI remakes or higher-res updates of Sam and Max seasons 1 and 2? If it's the former, I didn't realize they were available from Telltale (and I can't access their site right now). If it's the latter, which I don't think I've heard of (again, no confirmation from the site), I wonder if the Steam version would have been updated... -
Guess Monkey Island was remade by someone else.
No worries. -

Oh. Yeah, Lucasarts remade them themselves. The first remake's not very well-done, but the second one is pretty nice. Of course the games themselves are great either way. -
I got Poker Night at the Inventory a while ago for $5 on Steam...mostly for the TF2 items
I do love my Iron Curtain.
But I do actually enjoy playing poker, and it's a fun game. -

I got it during that sale hoping for a diverse and wacky poker experience, much like the poker nights my friends and I have, with all kinds of bizarre variants and rules being pulled out and/or made up on the spot. Instead, the "wacky charm" of Telltale's game was limited entirely to a few dozen brief dialogs between the NPC's, none of which did anything particularly interesting or funny with the characters in my opinion, and the game itself is nothing but extremely vanilla Texas Hold 'Em with zero variation. Not to mention the bugs that added an element of irritation to the general sense of disappointment in the game.
Just my pessimistic two cents, though. Really, I think Telltale's finest have been Sam and Max and Puzzle Agent - everything else I've seen from them could pretty much be skipped in my opinion, and their most recent efforts have made me take a step further and expect mediocrity until I hear otherwise. A real shame considering their early promise as a developer... -
I wasn't disappointed...it was only 5 bucks anyway. The dialogue and character interaction was nifty, at least for the first couple hours when I hadn't heard every line twice
75% off all the stuff at Telltale Games!
