I'm in a bit of a dilemma here. All other system specs being the same, and assuming both systems are equipped with 2GB of DDR5 memory for the GPU, which would be a better deal if the system with the 660m could be had for $750 vs $810 for the one with the 750m? Is the extra $60 worth it for the 750m? I don't really ever intend to overclock or anything. Thanks in advance!![]()

Everything else being the same, I would personally go for the arguably better 660m and save $60.
-
hmm... Okay. Thanks for the advice! I see you own a Y400 with the 750m. The systems I'm trying to choose between are the Y500 and Asus G75. I might as well go with the G75 then and save some cash. Thanks!

They seem to be the exact same GPU. 750m will be higher clocked so it will be better performing around 10% on stock or so. I personally don't think such a difference is anything to write home about specially since you don't plan on overclocking neither of them.

Yeah, I haven't been able to find any reviews on the 750m yet since it just became available on the market. The only advantage I can see in the Y500 is that the optical drive bay can be swapped in for another 750m for some SLI action.
-
Really now? That is quite a versatile solution. I did read that the Y500 could be configured in SLI but I had no idea it was a swap in with the optical drive bay.

Yep. Though I don't know about the Y500's cooling. The G75's marketing really worked at convincing me how awesomely efficient it is.
